From steel box to working space
A shipping container is the fastest, toughest starting point for a small working building: structural steel, wind and watertight, theft-resistant, and movable when the job moves. We take that shell and build it to your spec — cut openings, install doors and windows, frame, insulate, wire and finish.
Every build starts with a conversation about how you'll actually use the space. Then you get one itemized quote — container, modifications and delivery — before any steel gets cut.
- Roll-up & personnel doors
- Windows, ventilation & skylights
- Insulation, framing & finished interiors
- Electrical, lighting & heat
Modification options
Mix and match — every build is quoted to your specification.

Insulation & interior
Spray foam or batt insulation with framed, finished walls — comfortable in a Kamloops July and a Prince George January.
Electrical & lighting
Panels, outlets, LED lighting and heat, roughed in and ready for your electrician's final hookup.
Shelving & partitions
Heavy-duty shelving, workbenches, lockable parts cages and dividing walls to organize the space.

Finish the build in your company colours with logo decals — see our container branding service.
Builds we do most
Proven configurations, customized to your operation.
Site offices
Insulated, wired and windowed — a lockable office that arrives on a truck and leaves when the project does.
Workshops & tool cribs
Workbenches, shelving and lighting in a steel shell no one is cutting into overnight.
Pop-up retail & kiosks
Roll-up serving windows and finished interiors for markets, events and seasonal storefronts.
Equipment enclosures
Ventilated, secure housings for pumps, generators, compressors and controls at remote sites.
Special Builds: common questions
Do I need a permit for a modified container?
It depends on your municipality and how the unit is used. Simple storage rarely needs a permit in rural BC; offices and occupied spaces often do. Check with your local building department — and tell us the intended use so the build supports whatever approval you need.
Can a container office be used year-round in BC?
Yes — with insulation and heat, a container office is comfortable through Interior and Northern BC winters. Spray foam insulation, framed interior walls and electric heat are the standard cold-climate package.
How long does a custom build take?
Simple modifications like an extra door can be quick; a fully finished office takes longer. Build time depends on the spec and our current queue — your quote includes a committed timeline.
Is the electrical work certified?
We rough in panels, wiring, outlets and fixtures so the unit is ready for final connection and inspection by a licensed electrician in your jurisdiction. We'll walk you through exactly what's included in your quote.
Can you modify a container I already own?
Ask us — depending on the work and the container's condition, it's often possible. If your unit is rough, it's sometimes cheaper to start from a fresh used container than to rehabilitate an old one; we'll give you straight advice either way.
