It depends on the order size, spec and delivery locations. Orders filled from current inventory are simpler to schedule; larger or custom-spec orders take longer to source. Your quote sets out the delivery schedule.

Yes. List every line you need, for example used 20ft units for storage and new 40ft high cubes for a branded site, and they can go on one quote and one invoice, with each line’s per-unit price shown. Mark which units need to match, such as a set going to one yard, and the quote confirms what will match.

Send the quantity of each size and condition, the colour, any branding or modifications, and every delivery address with notes on access such as gates, slopes or overhead wires. Say which units go where, whether you want staged delivery as sites come online, the company name for the invoice, and any format your purchasing department or funder needs. The more complete the list, the closer the first quote is to the final order.

It’s set on your quote and invoice. Valleyview’s terms say a deposit may be required to secure an order and full payment is typically required before delivery, unless a different arrangement is agreed in writing. If a large, staged or funded order needs billing by milestone or by drop, ask for it when you request the quote, give the company name the formal invoices should go to, and have whatever is agreed written into the quote.

Delivery is quoted for every address on the order, by distance and by the access at that site, and itemized on the fleet quote. A paved yard beside the highway and a site at the end of a forest service road are different delivery quotes. Vancouver Island, Sunshine Coast and Gulf Island sites are ferry-served, with the ferry part of the delivery quote. No delivery price is published, so the quote is where you see the numbers.

Yes. Fleet branding applies your logo and company colours across the whole order, and yard numbers, unit IDs and safety markings can be printed alongside the brand, so each container leaves Valleyview’s Kamloops yard already marked for your asset list. The work is done before delivery and quoted per design. Send your logo, ideally as a vector file, your brand colour, the wording and your numbering scheme with the quote request.

Yes. One itemized quote can cover plain storage units, modified builds such as insulated site offices, workshops or 40ft high cube crew units, any paint and decals, and delivery to each site, with every item priced line by line. Builds are done in Valleyview’s Kamloops yard, and their timing is confirmed in the quote. Offices and crew housing are occupied space, so check permit and drawing requirements with whoever has jurisdiction before you order.

It depends on where the units will be seen. New one-trip containers have straight walls and fresh factory paint, which suits customer-facing sites and branded fleets. Used cargo-worthy units are inspected and wind and watertight, with dents and surface rust from service, and suit storage yards and job sites where looks matter less.

Not always. Larger orders are sourced at volume through Valleyview’s container network, because one-off yard stock rarely allows matching units, so yours may not be in the Kamloops yard to view. Ask for the condition description of the units you’re getting and whether photos are available. Valleyview inspects containers before sale, and your site contact inspects each one on arrival and notes any damage on the delivery receipt.

Order the units in one go at volume pricing, in one spec so the yard looks uniform, and take delivery in stages as you open more space if that suits your plan. Before you order, ask your municipality or regional district what zoning allows on the property and how many units it permits.

Plan the layout with Valleyview so every spot keeps a straight, clear run for the tilt-deck truck and a container already down doesn’t block the next one. A 20ft needs about 72 feet of straight clear length including its final spot, and a 40ft needs at least 110 feet and more overhead room, so ask for the height your site needs. Leave room in front of each set of doors, keep each pad level, firm and well drained, and send a sketch of the layout with your quote request.

Yes, ask for it with your quote. For project and funded orders, Valleyview provides an itemized quote, formal invoices, container serial numbers and delivery confirmation per site. Each container carries a unique owner code and serial number, four letters and seven digits, stamped on the doors and repeated inside, and your site contact signs a delivery receipt at each drop after inspecting the unit. Say what format your purchasing team or funder needs.

Possibly; whether a multi-unit order can go on lease-to-own, and how volume pricing applies to it, is confirmed with your quote. Business containers can be bought outright or on lease-to-own terms, and lease-to-own is offered on 20ft and 40ft containers. Valleyview doesn’t rent containers; lease-to-own is its only financing, and each unit on it is yours once it’s paid off.

Not automatically. Container prices are subject to change, and quotes are typically valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless the quote says otherwise, so units added later are confirmed on a new quote. If you already know more sites are coming, list them on the first order, ask for staged delivery, and have the quote confirm how the later drops are priced.

Yes, ask for it on the order. A welded steel lock box can be added as part of Valleyview’s container modification work, and businesses with several units can standardize that hardware across the fleet, so every unit arrives fitted the same way. A lock box with a hardened puck lock inside is the setup the security guide suggests for job sites and rural properties; ask whether locks are included.

It depends on the vehicle, so measure it first. Compare its length with the interior length, about 19ft 4in in a 20ft or 39ft 5in in a 40ft. Compare its height, including any trailer it sits on, plus six inches for the ramp angle, with the door opening: about 7ft 5in on a standard container or 8ft 5in on a high cube. Compare its width, mirrors included, with the interior width of about 7ft 8in, and ask Valleyview to confirm the door opening width.

New 20ft containers can be ordered in a range of standard factory RAL colours, such as RAL 7035 Light Grey, RAL 9010 Pure White, RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey, RAL 6007 Bottle Green and RAL 5010 Gentian Blue, and other RAL colours are available on request. Price varies by colour, so ask for current options when you request a quote. For other new sizes, ask which colours are available.

Not at Valleyview’s current listed prices: a 40ft is listed at less than twice the price of a 20ft in the same condition. A used 40ft is listed at $3,300–$3,600 against $2,500–$3,000 for a used 20ft, and holds about 2,390 cubic feet to the 20ft’s 1,170. A new one-trip 40ft high cube is listed at $6,200–$7,100 against $3,700–$4,200 for a new one-trip 20ft. All prices are plus tax and delivery, and a 40ft needs more room to deliver and place, so check that your site can take one.

No. Listed container prices are in Canadian dollars plus tax and delivery, and applicable GST and PST are added to your quote and invoice. Ask for the total including tax when you get your quote so you know the full amount before you pay. How a container purchase is treated for your business or personal taxes is a question for your accountant.

Yes. A job site needs the same things as any delivery: firm, level ground where the container will sit and a straight, clear approach for the tilt-deck truck, with room overhead. Keep that path free of parked machines, material piles and people on the day, and name a site contact who can meet the driver, confirm placement and sign the delivery receipt. Site requirements are confirmed when you get your quote.

It can work if the spot under the container is made level and the truck can still reach it. A container sitting on a slope twists and its doors bind, so a sloped site needs a level gravel pad, or supports set level with each other under the corners, before delivery. The truck also needs firm, level ground along its straight run to the drop spot. Send Valleyview photos before you book so the site can be checked and the drop planned.

Stand inside with the doors shut and look for pinholes of daylight, especially along the roof and the door seals. On the floor, a dark ring usually marks a leak, while a long dark streak is more likely an old spill. Water with no daylight above it may be condensation instead. If a container you bought from Valleyview has a defect that was not disclosed at the time of sale, contact Valleyview right away to discuss a resolution.

Your local zoning bylaw decides first, so check with your municipality or regional district before anything else. Ask which term the bylaw uses, the floor area and height limits, setbacks and separation from the house, servicing, parking, which energy requirements apply, whether engineered drawings are required, and whether ALR, a strata or a covenant affects the lot. A suite is a dwelling, so expect a building permit. Valleyview quotes suites per project once it has your address and a floor plan.

Because each one is designed for its own site, and the engineering and permit-drawing work it needs depends on that site and on what the local government requires. Valleyview quotes these builds per design instead of from the modification menu, and does not publish a starting price for them. To get a price, send the civic address and what the space is for, and the quote follows once the site, services and local requirements are known.

What Valleyview can provide is an itemized quote and a formal invoice showing the container, any modifications, delivery and tax, which you can give to your accountant.

A reefer arrives by tilt-deck like any 20ft container, so the site needs firm, level ground, about 72 feet of straight clear length including the container’s final spot, at least 10 to 12 feet of width and 16 feet of overhead clearance. It also needs 3-phase power within reach, or a generator on an off-grid site. Decide which end should face the power supply, and send photos of the access if you’re unsure.
